How to send back an envelope for amendments?

Modified on Sat, 26 Oct at 12:51 PM

With the Send Back feature, you can now easily adjust the process of Signing an envelope.

Send Back allows you to send your envelope back to any of the previous steps, while also including a comment explaining any change required

To get started on this send back feature, please follow the instructions below:

  • Select the ‘More’ button on the bottom right of your screen. This will display all other actions that can be conducted on your envelope. Namely, reject and send back.

  • Select the ‘Send Back’ button from these options displayed and you will land on the below send back view

Here, any tools added by previous recipients can be selected and comments can be added to these tools.

  • Add comments by selecting the required tool. A comment box will appear, simply type in the comment within this box. All comments added will be displayed within the right-hand Send Back Comment section.
  • Within this comment section, you can easily identify the step user responsible for the selected tool. Navigate to each comment added across your envelope through this Send Back Comment section.
  • All added comments can be edited or deleted by simply selecting the comment.

Once all comments have been added, select the ‘Next’ button.

  • A mail will be sent to all step users that need to amend their envelope. The message sent within this email can be edited within the pop up (see below).
  • Once your envelope has been amended by the relevant parties, you will receive this updated envelope again to be Z-Signed.
  • The envelope will then move forward based on the workflow!

Please note, Send Back Comments cannot be added to any attachments. This functionality will be implemented in the future.
